Americans have developed quite a reputation for being ignorant, and it is definitely earned. Most Americans have never left the country, and while that's not a horrible thing on its own, those same people have never tried to learn about the rest of the world. Believe it or not, the United States is a relatively new country, and despite our best attempts at playing God, the rest of the world doesn't revolve around us. 

The United States is one of the only countries in the world that uses the imperial system, and Americans love claiming its superiority. One man in this gallery claimed that the difficult conversions from the imperial to the metric systems proved that the imperial system was simpler. Of course, reversing those conversions presents the same problem, and exposes this guy as a total idiot.
